Overview
In 2018, shortly after joining Fifth Business, I was asked to design the company’s spring newsletter with a goal of winning an award. So expectations were high. Rather than creating a traditional PDF-style layout, I proposed a more immersive experience built around motion, 3D and interaction.

The Challenge
The content arrived as a simple Word document filled with long-form articles. My challenge was to transform it into something visually engaging while keeping the file size small enough for people to download and view easily across devices.
DESIGNING
The Approach
Every section was designed around its content in Cinema 4D, with transitions and loops mapped carefully so the sequences felt seamless and editorial rather than decorative.
The newsletter was assembled in InDesign and exported as a lightweight interactive experience using HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
